Previous experience managing part-time staff. Must have 2+ years of supervisory experience in the recreation industry including previous experience in athletics program management. Individual filling the position must obtain a Red Cross Certification in CPR and First Aid.īachelor’s degree in Recreation and Parks Administration, Sports Management, Leisure Studies, or a related field This is a full-time position with a normal work week of 37.5 hours per week. These programs may include leagues, tournaments, and instructional programs. The Athletics Supervisor for athletics has a primary duty of coordinating a variety of youth and adult sports programs. Support special event set up, tear down and maintenance during the event.May be asked to participate in park maintenance operations such as controlled prairie and woodland burns, hardscape and pond maintenance.Clean and maintain parks through litter pickup, garbage removal, recycling activities, and conduct scheduled inspections to district amenities as assigned.May be asked to act as a crew leader to assigned staff and volunteers by orienting and training.Perform a wide variety of park maintenance tasks including but not limited to trail maintenance, horticultural care of landscape beds and custodial duties on a daily basis.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional in the area of horticulture, general landscape maintenance and annual flower design to utilize their skills in a team environment to make a positive impact on Naperville's Riverwalk.
